My wife and I took a NCL cruise from NYC to Canada and back last year. One of the stops was in Bar Harbor. We walked around for awhile checking out all the activity. Lots going on here. Then we went to the terrace Grille for lunch on the beautiful outdoor terrace of the Bar Harbor Inn. We both had a lobster roll and it was one of the best we have ever had. Highly recommended.
Someone told us this place had the best lobster roll! We happened to be staying here so we thought mine as well try it! It did not disappoint!! The lobster rolls were huge (32) and comes with a side! The lobster bisque was delicious! Service was fast, attentive & friendly. Their lobster roll was better than Clam Shack in Kennebunkport.
Not afraid to say this but this was the best place on our trip to bar harbor. Went on a full fledged lobster roll diet while in Maine and between all the lobster pounds and places in and around bar harbor this was #1. The lobster bisque and clam showed were both how I personally like them! Oh yeah and the view was great. Fire pit if you get chilly. Highly recommend for a crowning dinner during your trip.
It was a busy Monday after lunch but our server, Kim, was just awesome! We were impressed with her service despite the busy afternoon. The food did take a while but it was understandable. The lobster roll was very generous from someone coming from the midwest. The short rib was phenomenal, very flavorful but the portion was smaller than anticipated. Our favorite part was the dessert. We definitely had to ask Kim since there were too many choices, she told us to try her personal fave Berry trifle and the popular open faced ice cream. She did not disappoint, they were all so good, especially the trifle, a must try for everyone!
This is the premier place to dine when in Bar Harbor during the summer months. Located at Bar Harbor Inn, the Terrace Grille offers absolutely gorgeous views looking out to the Porcupine Islands. Great food and drinks. Beer options are solid. Highly recommended.
My husband and I thought our food was fantastic, I got the braised short ribs and he got the 4 course lobster dinner. Lobster was cooked perfect and was very good. My favorite part was the blueberry pie though, absolutely delicious, I think we would come back just for that and to enjoy the amazing view of the harbor.
We had a very lunch here while on vacation during Memorial Day weekend. The view was nice and the service was excellent. The server was extra nice to our 2 yo son. She got him a special little bowl of strawberries when he asked for some. We got the clam chowder and the lobster bisque. Both were great. I also got the lobster roll which was excellent! My only critique is that it could have been filled with a bit more lobster. I might just be used to the over filled ones they serve down on Cape Cod though. Anyway great spot!
